Relationship Counselling in Birmingham and Solihull

Marriage and couples counselling can help you have better relationships

I provide marriage counselling and relationship counselling in Birmingham, to help couples overcome difficulties, have happy and healthy relationships or even to split up more amicably. I have experience of helping couples who argue a lot and are stuck in conflict, with anger and resentment, intimacy and connection, parenting and lack of communication. By helping to strengthen the bond between a couple and reduce hurtful, negative interactions- my approach aims to support significant, long lasting change. The couples counselling I offer aims to to challenge and support equally, paying close attention to the needs of each partner and helping them to communicate this in a way that can be heard.

I admire couples who seek support, having a lasting relationship is probably one of the hardest things some of us do- right up their with having children. Couples counselling can help couples see the 'wood through the trees' when things seem confusing and hard to understand. Support for couples is essential, especially when family and communicates are not always available or the support needed. I would pay careful attention to your individual histories and how they impact your relationship now, deepening a psychological understanding of one another and removing obstacles to closeness.

It is not unusual for couples to not know what's wrong and what they need to be different but know they feel unhappy or dissatisfied. Together, we will hopefully get to the roots of the difficulties and start to map a way forward where your relationship can reach its potential.

By working together, couples counselling can transform your relationship, however big the problems seem at first.
